One of my favorite health tips drives my friends nuts when I start preaching about juicing!
Do you have enough time in your day to eat all the recommended fruits and vegetables that will keep you healthy and happy???
It's not easy! But my personal solution is MY JUICE MACHINE!
Look into getting a juicer for your own health boost! A juice machine is the best investment you can make for your health and happiness!

Losing weight is one of the most popular New Year's resolutions each year. We all start with great intentions but after a few weeks, we fall back into our usual unhealthy lifestyle and the weight we did lose creeps back on. Let's take a look at what steps to take to make sure we still stick to our weight-loss resolution at the end of December.
Determine your "Why" and write it down.
Think about the reason why you want to loose weight. Is it to look better in a bathing suit for that vacation in July? Is it to be healthier and get your risk for heart disease and diabetes down? Do you want to be able to enjoy a more active lifestyle? Do you want more energy to play catch with the kids? Be as specific as possible. Now take out a sheet of paper and write down your big "Why".
Set and write down sensible weight-loss goals.
The next important tip to being able to stick to your weight-loss goal is to set a sensible goal to begin with. You shouldn't expect yourself to loose more than 1 to 2 pounds per week. Look for a Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator online to help you determine whether you are underweight, normal, overweight, or obese. The higher your BMI, the more weight you can expect to lose in the long run. If you are in the normal range, but feel that you should lose weight, you may not want to aim for more than 5 pounds.
I would also like to encourage you to consult with your physician before starting any weight loss program. He or she can give you an even better idea on a good goal for you.
Make a plan you can stick with all year long.
You know yourself better than just about anyone else. Most likely you've been on a diet or two (or more). So you already know what doesn't work for you. You'll be most likely to stick with something common sense making small changes that you can live with from here on. Eat healthier and consume fewer calories, but also get more active.
Set small goals along the way.
Look at where you are at now and at your goal for the end of the year. Now break it down into several small goals. You want to break your weight loss journey down into small chunks that seem more attainable. Focus on the first "mini" goal until you reach it and then move on to the next one.
Keep track of your progress.
Keep a journal and record what you eat and how active you are during the day. If you chase the kids around the yard for 20 minutes, record it. Writing these things down builds accountability. You'll find yourself thinking, "If I eat that cookie, I'll have to write it down. I better skip it". Or if you haven't been a couch potato all day, you may be motivated to take a quick walk around the block so you can jot it down in your journal.
Celebrate each small goal.
Remember those small goals you planed out? Make sure you celebrate each goal you reach - but not with food. Reward yourself with a new blouse, a manicure, or a good book. Pick something you truly enjoy. This will build some positive reinforcement that will keep you going until you reach the next goal.
Keep your "Why" in mind.
Don't loose track of the big picture. Remind yourself daily of your big "Why", the reason why you want to lose weight. Keep the sheet of paper with your reason for losing weight close by and read it every morning or every evening. This is another big motivator to keep you going all year.
Losing weight can seem like a daunting task, especially if you have a fair amount to lose and you are just starting out. Don't let it intimidate you though. Take it one step and one pound at a time. Before you know it, it will be the December and you will be 5, 10 or 50 pounds lighter. I know you can do it!

How To Set Sensible Weight-Loss Goals
The key to any successful weight-loss endeavor is to set some sensible weight loss goals. Setting goals will let you track your progress and gives you a definite target to aim for. You don't want to aim too high and set yourself up for failure or even worse, risk your health by losing too much too fast. At the same time, you want to set a goal that is a little bit of a challenge. Here are some guidelines on how to come up with a sensible weight-loss goal.
Use the Body Mass Index. Feeling overweight, or thinking that you should lose some weight can be very subjective. To get a better feel for where you are at, you may want to calculate your Body Mass. Visit http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/calc-bmi.htm to find out what your BMI is and what it means. Adjust your weight-loss goal so you will eventually be in the "normal" category. Speak to your physician. Schedule an appointment with your general practitioner. He or she knows your medical history and will be able to advise you on how much you should lose. It is always a good idea to speak to your physician before you start any diet or exercise program.
Set Mini Goals. Once you set your ultimate goal and have a time-plan for reaching it, break it up into several mini goals to reach along the way. Looking at a big goal can seem a little intimidating. Breaking it up into smaller goals allows you to focus on your first mini goal and gives you a feeling of accomplishment when you reach that goal. Then just move on to the next mini goal until you reach your big goal. Now that you have your weight-loss goal and the mini goals in place, start by tackling your first mini goal. I know you can succeed by approaching weight-loss one step at a time. Your next challenge is just to get started.

The Best Weight Loss Program And Ultimate Self Help Book For The New Year
Reprogramming the Overweight Mind 7 Steps to Taking Control of the Subconscious does not follow the usual weight loss and diet book formula. There is not even a diet in the book. Instead the primary focus is on the behavior of eating and over 20 years have been spent perfecting the clinically proven program contained within the book. Every other book on weight loss has taken the position of attacking the body to try and change the mind.
Don't lose more than 1 to 2 pounds a week. You are aiming for slow and steady weight-loss. To set your goal, decide when you want to lose the weight by, and then expect to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week. So, if you figure a time period of 6 months, you want your goal to be around 26 - 52 pounds. Even small goals will make a difference. Don't feel like you have to lose a lot of weight to make difference in your health. You will see benefits by losing as little as 10% of your body weight. If you weigh 150 pounds, losing 15 pounds may show an improvement in your overall health and the way you feel.
The health of your body is dependent on your mental health and taking control of the subconscious is the key to lasting permanent change of any behavior. The subconscious mind is like a car without an off switch and an unknown driver. If you decide not to drive because you do not know how, it is going to drive itself. To give you an idea of the power of the subconscious, you can speak at a rate of about two to three hundred words per minute. Your subconscious runs at a rate of about one thousand to twelve hundred words per minute which is about four times faster than you can speak. This is why you can talk on the phone and perform other tasks like typing on the computer or driving a car because the subconscious is already programmed to do the other tasks.
You can look at the conscious mind and the subconscious mind like a tug of war with a vat of mud in the middle for whom ever loses. The conscious mind is one person on one side against the subconscious, which are four people on the other side. If the conscious mind decides to move in a different direction like changing your diet, losing weight, increasing your fitness program or any other change in your behavior, it is usually a losing proposition because you are simply out numbered with information. The only way you can insure permanent behavior change is take control of the subconscious.
The Audio/Data CD included with the book is what makes this book the Best Weight Loss Program and Ultimate Self Help Book for the New Year? The audio portion of the CD is a guided meditation that is based on information collected in the first six steps of the program as opposed to using generic information. The Data portion of the CD includes all the documents necessary to perform a study that measures the dramatic improvement of the emotional state of the person using the program. The program process is based on the reality that all behavior is emotionally driven so if you understand how an emotional state comes about you can intervene and change the behavior.
This is the foundation of the book and why it works for the full spectrum of behavior, not just weight loss, fitness motivation and eating disorders. All of this would not have much meaning if the book did not answer the most fundamental question first. What determines human (your) behavior? I have worked with people who have been in therapy for 20 years and can not answer this question. They can not answer the question because the therapist they are working with can not answer it. How can you help someone change a behavior if you do not know what brings a behavior about to begin with?
Many people have reported that just the first two chapters of the book have made a significant difference in their lives. Because of this response Kelly has released the first two chapters for distribution free of charge. Regardless of weather your health goal is a change in diet for weight loss, an increase in your fitness program or to take control of an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia. In the end the question you need to ask yourself is...Am I completely happy with the mind running itself or do I need to take control of it? If your answer is I need to take control of it, then Burris MIND/FITNESS is the answer.
So you've made the resolution that THIS is the year you're going to lose weight and get in the best shape of your life. You're not going to settle for second best - you're going to achieve that dream body you've always wanted. Great news - this is actually the best time to make that commitment. Why? Because you can take advantage of the powerful momentum and energy a New Year brings to achieve your weight loss dreams.
But there's nothing worse than committing to lose weight, only to get lost among the 5 gazillion diets out there. It can get confusing - you may end up wasting a lot of money and effort. You may end up wondering which diet is really the BEST diet for you. You may even end up feeling so frustrated that you give up on your dream of becoming slim and healthy. But it doesn't have to be that way. In order to have rapid weight loss success, you have to find the best diet for you (a.k.a. the diet that will speed you towards your dream body at lightning pace). There are millions of diets - but only a few that are best for you and your lifestyle. The best diet for you will have the 3 key features listed below. Choose your diet with these 3 key features in mind and you're already halfway to your weight loss dreams.
#1 Proven Success Rate
Are there before and after pictures of people who have lost weight with that particular diet? Are there customer testimonials? Have there been independent studies done on the diet's success rate? The diet you choose doesn't have to have all three of these but try to find at least some kind of proven success rate before choosing that particular program. Finding a diet with a proven success rate not only lets you know that the diet works but it also helps give you the confidence that the diet will work FOR YOU.
Confidence is one of the most underrated factors in a successful weight loss program. If you've tried and failed with diets before you especially need that extra boost of confidence to carry you through the more difficult times in the diet. By reminding yourself that this diet has been proven to work - you'll be able to keep going and reach your weight loss goals. A related feature that gets extra points is if the diet has been recommended by an expert or a physician. Again this boosts your confidence that the diet is safe and effective.
Losing weight should not cost you thousands of dollars (unless we're talking about surgery here and that's an entirely different article). The best diet will be affordable for the average person. If the diet costs too much, be very suspicious and look elsewhere. There are too many shady diets out there and as a consumer, it pays to be cautious.
I'll give you an example of what I mean:
A close friend of mine went to a well-known weight loss clinic in our area and was told she had to pay the yearly fees up front (around $1000 NOT including food). They also told her she had to buy their food in bulk (like $500 for a year's worth of chocolate). When the chocolate gave her heart palpitations and she had to take it back, they told her it was non-refundable. She was out the money for the chocolate. Plus, she feels she can't leave the program because she's paid the yearly fees (which, you guessed it, are also non-refundable).
She unfortunately made the mistake of ignoring her instincts and paying way too much money for a diet program. If you notice you're being asked for hefty fees right out of the gate, warning lights should be flashing in your mind. Now on the other hand, the best diet WILL cost you something. It actually is better if you put some cash on the table for your diet program. Why? Because when we invest in something we're more likely to stick with it. When we invest in something we are more likely to follow through and get the results we want.
For example I did a liver detox several months ago. I'm not really into liver detoxing but I read an article and figured I'd try it. The detox kit cost me a whopping $50 and when I opened the instructions they told me I had to give up junk food for two weeks. In any other universe I would have laughed and simply forgotten about detoxing my liver. But because I'd shelled out $50, I was invested - I decided that I hopefully wouldn't starve from lack of junk food over two weeks and suffered through it.
If I'd gotten the detox kit for free there's no way I would have followed those instructions. But because I was invested, I followed through and now have a healthier liver thanking me for it. So when searching for the best diet, putting out some money on yourself and your dreams of a better body is actually a healthy thing. Just keep in mind that you shouldn't have to spend thousands of dollars on it.
#3 Compatible with Your Tastes and Lifestyle
This is THE most crucial step however it's the one where most people go wrong. When choosing a diet, they simply pick one and go, without considering if it is compatible with their tastes and lifestyle. For example, if you hate the taste of fruit (or it doesn't agree with you), then you may want to skip the fruit flush diet. If you eat out almost every day, you may want to skip the diet that calls for specially prepared home cooked meals. If you love meat, you'll want to bypass the vegetarian diet plan. If you like sweets, choose a plan where you can eat them and still lose weight.
Diets are like cars - there are hundreds of models out there, each with their own unique features. You need to decide on which one YOU like and which one fits your lifestyle. For example, if you hate feeling deprived or empty you might want to choose a program that lets you eat many times during the day so you don't feel hungry. If you get bored easily you want a diet program that gives you tremendous variety and flexibility. If you don't do a lot of cooking or food preparation, you'll want to look at a program where the food is pre-made for you.
Dieting is hard enough. Don't make it harder on yourself by choosing a diet not compatible with who you are. Setting yourself up for success will also guarantee that you'll stick it out until you reach your goal. And one other thing, the best diet will be one that you can get excited about. Choose a diet that you enjoy, that you believe in, that may actually be - gulp - fun. Emotional excitement will fade in time, yes. But it can give you enough of an emotional push to get you over the initial hump. By that time your first few pounds will have come off and will serve as your continuing motivation.
So those are 3 key considerations when looking for the best diet. Keep them in mind and you will progress in leaps and bounds towards your dream body. Remember, planning now may seem boring - but it's the key to your future weight loss success.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #28
Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #28
You know how I like to have fun so let's have some FUN today, okay? Seven year old Tami is ready to play!
Are you ready?
Get a mirror and make some faces at yourself....or if you're at work reading this, turn and make a fish face at someone else. Get your family involved at the dinner table and see who can make the best fish face.....give an award for it! I wish you could see my fish face....it is the best! In fact, I'm doing it as I write this.
Here's another idea. I love to play practical jokes. When I was employed as a trainer for a credit union, I played a practical joke that really stunk. Another co-worker and I had similar interests in laughing and playing jokes on people. One time this co-worker was out of town so I decided to get him back for some things he had done like cornering me while I was getting bombarded with tons of water from a squirt gun. Retaliation is good!
Therefore behavior modification is a must for breaking old habits pertaining to eating to make weight loss a reality. Though it's not an easy affair but we must make it our main goal for remaining healthy. One of the simple means of changing the way that we do things, For example, if you are in the habit of going straight to the kitchen and eating every time you walk in the house, try to change this habit by going to another room of the house when you come home.
I keep things on hand in case of emergencies. You know....break open in case of fun. I have to be ready and armed. I just happened to have a fish head from the World Famous Pike's Place Market in Seattle. This co-worker was going to be gone over a long weekend so I decided to put this fish head in his office, along with an open can of tuna. Well, the weather report called for temperatures in the upper 80's, cooking the inside of his office. You can imagine the aroma!
When we came back on Tuesday, the smell didn't just stay in his office; it permeated a large portion of the branch making the tellers sick and some of the members too. Fans were blowing everywhere trying to remove the pungent odor. Okay, so I did get in trouble for this, but it was so much fun. Would I do it again? Absolutely!
Was there something fishy going on you ask? Yes, there was! Set the intention to live your life on porpoise. Make everyday what it otter be. Hook 'em with laughter. Don't let 'em worm their way out of fun. For the halibut, smile, dance, laugh. Have a whale of a time!
How does this relate to weight loss? When your body is in a high joy vibration, the cells come alive....you know those endorfins--I know this is spelled incorrectly...still going with the fish theme. and toxins are released. Toxins are stored in your fat cells so voila! fat is reduced. This is a simple process to use everyday!
Now, it's your turn. What are you going to do to have fun? Don't you just have the urge to get somebody? Don't clam up....use your creativity and let loose! Keep up the great work you're doing for yourself. You are the priority! Make every moment an eely good moment!

Our behavior plays a key role in shaping our lives. Eating habits or behaviors are formed by repetition. If you are in the habit of snacking while watching TV then you were reinforcing that habit until finally it became a part of you. Some other improper eating habits are formed in the same way such as: eating while reading, eating when you come in from a date or eating while cooking dinner.
Whenever you feel tempted to eat, try to use one of the following substitute activities such as walking, taking a long bath, calling a friend, writing a letter or reading of a book. Though behavior modification takes time but its worth trying. But always remember that it never happens on its own and requires tremendous effect from your side so try to be reasonable in your expectations.
The nicest fact about proper behavior and habit is that they keep us away from all the vices. Maintaining a proper decorum in life is no easy task but once you inculcate this as a habit then everything becomes very easy. So, if you're following a faulty habit then pledge to change it right now as an improved lifestyle can shower with immense health and weight loss benefits. The most important fact about a proper lifestyle is that they keep us hale and hearty forever.
