There are many physical, mental, and physiological benefits to regular exercise. One category of benefits is the impact that exercise has on many of your body's hormones. Hormones are chemical messengers within your body that affect almost all aspects of human function:
1. Growth Hormone - Stimulates protein synthesis (muscle tone/development), and strength of bones, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. - Decreases use of glucose and increases use of fat as a fuel during exercise. This helps to reduce body fat and to keep blood glucose at a normal level which helps you to exercise for a longer period of time. Release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland in the brain is increased with increasing aerobic exercise time, especially more intense exercise such as interval training. To receive an article on interval training, send email to: Intervals@Fitness-Articles.com
3. Testosterone - An important hormone in both males and females for maintaining muscle tone/volume/strength, increasing basal metabolic rate (metabolism), decreasing body fat, and feeling self-confident. It's produced by the ovaries in females and by the testes in males. - Females have only about one tenth the amount of testosterone that males do, but even at that level in females it also plays a role in libido and intensity of org*sms. Production of testosterone in females begins to decline as a woman begins to approach menopause and in males it begins to decline in his forties. Blood levels of testosterone increase with exercise in both males and females beginning about 20 minutes into an exercise session, and blood levels may remain elevated for one to three hours after exercise.
4. Estrogen - The most biologically active estrogen, 17 beta estradiol, increases fat breakdown from body fat stores so that it can be used and fuel, increases basal metabolic rate (metabolism), elevates your mood, and increases libido. This hormone is at much higher blood levels in females, but the ovaries begin to produce less of it as a woman begins to approach menopause. The amount of 17 beta estradiol secreted by the ovaries increases with exercise, and blood levels may remain elevated for one to four hours after exercise.
5. Thyroxine (T4) - A hormone produced by the thyroid gland, Thyroxine raises the metabolic rate ("metabolism") of almost all cells in the body. This increase in "metabolism" helps you to feel more energetic and also causes you to expend more calories, and thus is important in weight loss. Blood levels of thyroxine increase by about 30% during exercise and remain elevated for several hours afterward - this period of time is increased by an increase in intensity and/or duration of exercise. Regular exercise also increase thyroxine levels at rest.
6. Epinephrine - A hormone produced primarily by the adrenal medulla that increases the amount of blood the heart pumps and directs blood flow to where it's needed. - Stimulates breakdown of glycogen (stored carbohydrate) in the active muscles and liver to use as fuel. It also stimulates the breakdown of fat (in stored fat and in active muscles) to use as fuel. The amount of epinephrine released from the adrenal medulla is proportional to the intensity and duration of exercise.
7. Insulin An important hormone in regulating (decreasing) blood levels of glucose ("blood sugar") and in directing glucose, fatty acids, and amino acids into the cells. Insulin secretion by the pancreas is increased in response to a rise in blood sugar as is often the case after a meal.
Typically, the larger the meal, or the greater the quantity of simple sugars consumed, the larger the insulin response. This is another reason that it's good to eat small frequent meals and to limit consumption of sugar and of processed bread, pasta and rice. The whole grain (non-processed) versions of those products are a much healthier choice. Blood levels of insulin begin to decrease about 10 minutes into an aerobic exercise session and continue to decrease through about 70 minutes of exercise. Regular exercise also increases a cell's sensitivity to insulin at rest, so that less is needed.
8. Glucagon A hormone that is also secreted by the pancreas, but it's job is to raise blood levels of glucose ("blood sugar"). When blood sugar levels get too low, glucagon is secreted and causes stored carbohydrate (glycogen) in the liver to be released into the blood stream to raise blood sugar to a normal level. It also causes the breakdown of fat so that it can be used as fuel. Glucagon typically begins to be secreted beyond 30 minutes of exercise when blood glucose levels may begin to decrease. So, next time you're exercising, think about all the wonderful things that are happening to your hormones. It might even make you want to do more exercise!

More On Weight Loss:
Effective Weight Loss - Most people just don't understand that weight loss does not necessarily mean fat loss. In fact, many of the products and studies that go one nowadays concentrate on the area of weight loss. But, none of these studys really let people know the exact amount of FAT that's actually lost.
As always, before you attempt to self medicate or try a new health regimen or program we suggest you retain the services of a qualified health care professional.
Who Wants To Know The Truth About Weight Loss, Fat Loss And Metabolism?
-To reach a great height, a person needs to have great depth... Anonymous.
My hope with any program that I design for an individual is extraordinarily basic; it is to simply endow the client with the reality and verity regarding weight loss or more specificly, fat loss. Exercise and eating right have been both the passion and pursuit of the bulk of what makes up my life. I have no ulterior motives and no hidden agenda to sway or dissuade my clients or readers.
Sabotage Weight Loss - Nothing sells better than the latest weight loss diet. In fact it has become one of the fastest ways of making a quick buck. If you can put together some 'tried and tested' best way to lose weight program, certified by a couple of experts and vouched for by so many 'satisfied customers' then you are a millionaire over night.
Incidentally, this was after more than 5 years of research and development, production and a lifetime of application and education.
Although my companies do carry a line of super-premium supplements, it is only because I was fed up with the poor quality and low nutrient factors of what the "MEGA" and "MLM" suppliers were pawning off on the consumer, including myself, that I chose to invest my own hard-earned cash and provide this "super premium" product line to those who were willing to become educated and enlightened about the efficacy of what they were taking into their bodies. I have said this before and I will say it again... I am not a guru nor do I care to be! Call me a pitch-man... I am... For the TRUTH! I will let my character; integrity and my honesty speak for itself.
I am successful at what I do because of my ethics, values, and principles and deep-seated knowing, that what I am doing here is bigger than me, it is bigger than my current level of comprehension, that what I am doing is right and it is the right thing... It is REAL! So are my programs. Integrity is the cornerstone of my profession.
I am not the first guy in the wellness, fitness or preventative health care industries to tell you that magazines are generally considered one of the most credible sources for exercise, nutrition and fitness information. But that's not always the case. You cannot believe everything you read.... One more time, let me say it again; you cannot believe everything you read! Quite a portion of magazine publishers own supplement companies, who would of thunk? By strategically placing information about "new supplement breakthroughs" into what is in fact an advertorial, not an editorial, the buy-ability is to a great extent more believable.
That is exactly why magazines have become the ideal instrument for selling weight loss products and nutritional supplements. And so we have witnessed and can now bear testimony to the clever birth of the supplement catalog. Amazing...isn't it? Furthermore, in the game of losing body fat and that is the primary objective of not only my clients, but weight loss consumers on a whole, a daily caloric deficit must be achieved. This is a critical component and is undeviating. More simply put, you must expend more calories in a given day than you consume.
There are three ways you can create this calorie deficit:
1) the most obvious is to decrease your caloric intake from food and increase the amount of calories expended daily through exercise, or you can break them down separately;
2) by increasing the amount of calories you burn daily through exercise or;
3) by decreasing the amount of calories consumed daily through food.
Again, I repeat the first method is the most obvious and most effectual, although of the two components involved, the process of calorie expenditure is superior and is undoubtedly the more efficient method. It is also emphatic that you maintain muscle mass, while burning fat, the loss of muscle is not an option! As absurd as it may be, what you are truly looking to achieve is... Or more specifically what the objective is...is to eat the right foods for sustaining bodily integrity and employ exercise as your most significant fat-loss tool. Incongruously, what is practiced more often than not is the dead-opposite...
Little to no exercise accompanied by severe caloric reduction (starvation). This both slows the metabolism and inhibits the ability to maintain lean mass. Exercise allows you to establish a caloric deficit and burn fat without diminishing your metabolism. Synergy is defined as an exponential multiplication of efficacious parts, elements or pieces, by placing two (2) or more effective components together... The act of combining strength training (intense-resistance-exercise) and cardio-respiratory exercise with adequate, abundant nutrition and proper hydration will result in exponentially multiplied results! SYNERGY, Baby!!!
Unfortunately, the most common approach to "fat-loss" is erroneous and incorrect. Commercialized and I mean to include a good deal of those; Dr. This-guy and Dr. That-guy authored or endorsed diets all contain the same or a similar yet masked versions of the same derogatory component... Exceedingly low caloric intake! This results in instantaneous "weight-loss"! Fantastic! Right? Wrong! Here is what is really going on... The loss of lean-mass and water! Now if body fat is what you are attempting to lose than why would you want to lose lean-mass, which is where 'efficient' metabolism emanates from in the first place? You don't! It is physiologically impossible to lose fat for any prolonged period of time by starving yourself.
The human body, which indeed works in direct accord with the human mind, is unambiguously too intelligent for this to work. In an attempt to starve fat, you will in-fact starve muscle. Moreover, since muscle is where your metabolism emanates from, it is the prime element of your 'prospective' efficient metabolism. The truth is, not only is muscle a more efficient fuel source, but it is your body's preferred choice of fuel, when starvation is invoked!
On a deeper level the greater injustice going on is that you are slowing down your metabolism even further or perhaps initiating the process of 'revoking' your metabolic rights depending on how many times and how severely you have "starved" your metabolism! Now that is not to say there is no hope for you, believe me... There is! But I must stress this point. When your body enters starvation mode, fat loss will severely slow or even cease as your body tries to conserve energy. This is fact! But you say conservation is good right Kurt? The answer again is wrong! Not where human physiological or metabolic function is concerned.
I would venture to say that economy on a whole is not a good thing; I mean I would like to think that if I give more, more will come back to me... And If I give, I shall receive! Your body or more distinctly, your metabolism functions under this LAW! Ask Lance Armstrong, the man with the lowest resting heart rate of any living man. He is the fittest, most 'fuel-efficient' man on earth... WHY? Because he has mastered the art of spending! The harder he works, the more efficient his body responds and the better he becomes... Thus, so can YOU! Less is not best! Provide adequately, yet abundantly and appropriately (nutrition/hydration/sleep), spend...spend...spend (exercise, both aerobic and anaerobically) and do them in unity and accord of each other.

"The Truth About Weight Loss." The 6 Biggest Myth's About Dieting!
All of our behavior results from the thoughts that preceded it, so the thing to work on is not your behavior, but the thing that caused your behavior, your thoughts. - Dr. Wayne Dyer
Let me preface this article with the notion that I truly, indeed detest the word diet, but for simplicities sake... I'll use it!
Eating less in daily calories (food/nutrients), than your minimum metabolic needs causes your body to burn muscle and store fat. This is what is called the 'Starvation Metabolism' response, where the body, when deprived of adequate calories, will adapt to need fewer calories to function. As a result, dieters often regain the weight they lose almost immediately because they have starved their body into becoming a "fat-storing machine." Sadly the truth!
For most of its history, the human race was subject lock, stock and smoking barrel to the whims and fancies of dear old Mother Nature, especially where our nutritional needs were concerned. When the conditions were right, food was plentiful; when they were not, the populace starved. As a result, evolution shaped our progenerators bodies in such a way that during times of plenty, they were able to pack on layers of fat to provide them with the sustenance they needed to get through the lean times...not the 'fit' times, the 'LEAN' times!
And as evolution would have it, humans became adept at mastering their environment, nevertheless, famines grew rare, and the built-up fat reserves often went unused; our ability to manipulate the environment had exceeded nature's slow practice of adaptation. At present, obesity is pervasive in wealthy nations like the U.S. So what in the heck happened to moderation and balance? Particularly impacted are those of us of European and Eastern African origin, whose forbearers needed bodies that could efficiently manufacture fat reserves to outlast the periodic famines. As a direct result, many of us have become corpulent, mostly because it's hard for us to fight the natural tendencies of our bodies to accumulate fat. Currently, some 64% of Americans are overweight and more than one third are obese.
With that being said, as contemporary living human beings, we don't have to allow nature to get the leg up on us (nature nurture then nurture nature). Being overweight and more specifically, over-fat isn't healthy, especially for those of us who suffer from conditions like hypertension, diabetes, heart conditions and other insufficiencies of adequate, abundant health.
But what's the best way to lose weight (fat)and to regain a healthy state of body composition?
As you might have guessed, there are to be nearly accurate, thousands of specialized or Doctor/Guru-ized diets, procedures, dieting devices, miracle pills, powders and the like out there, all of which promise you they'll help you get lean and sleek. Some of them actually work, but how can you tell which ones? How do you thread your way through the plethora of dieting on your way to a healthier, slimmer you, without setting off self-destructive behaviors that can incapacitate your dieting efforts?
The answer to that question is this: Very Vigilantly.
While persuasive and a little facetious, it's nonetheless true. Some things are palpably false, fraudulent, misleading or simply prey on our innermost desires; for example, there's no magic pill (never will be), grapefruit or otherwise, that can in an isolated form cause you to shed the pounds. New-fangled fad diets don't work, and neither do most of the "scientific" ones that are so fervently promoted. Despite this, Americans are willing to spend more than $50 billion a year on fad diets and gimmicks, when in fact the most effective dieting advice comes down to this: Expend more calories than you consume! What I refer to as the two (2) E's, Exercise and Eat Right! Get it! To Ease!!! To ease all that ails us. This, we know is true; it's just difficult to assemble the willpower necessary to... belly-up to such an audaciously unpleasant proclamation.
If you're adamant about your health and well-being and want to attain 'real-results', keep this truth in mind... "You can lose weight and keep it off". Peranent weight loss can happen. The intention of this article is to help you along the way as you edify and develop the management skills necessary to achieve success by identifying the most common weight-loss myths that can perplex you during your expedition. We've left out the miracle claims and preposterous matter in favor of presenting more reasonable-sounding myths that an intelligent person might be beguiled and enticed by. Let's start with the most omnipresent myth.
THE MYTH: Avoiding meals can assist you in losing weight faster. THE TRUTH: Erroneous, Incorrect and Blatantly WRONG! This is Taking The Low Road!
It seems logical, just like its consequence ("the fewer calories you eat, the more weight you'll lose"), but it's not true. The effect is the opposite of what you expect. Dieting is based on the fact that if you burn more calories in a day than you take in, your body will begin burning fat. While this is true, if you expect to lose weight effectively, you need to maintain eating regular meals, especially breakfast. Depriving your body of its necessary fuel and nutrients causes it to go into starvation mode; when this happens, your metabolism slows down so that you can get by on little to no food. Once your metabolism slows, it can be quite difficult to bring it back up to momentum, and until it regains its pace, normal eating will just cause you to gain more weight.
It can be a vicious cycle that's excruciatingly difficult to break. In addition, bypassing meals can make you feel lightheaded and weak, can have venomous effects on your cholesterol levels, and can be extremely perilous for diabetics. In a nutshell, fasting and crash diets are forms of self-sabotage best avoided. What's more, eating frequently (and moderately) will leave you less hungry throughout the day and cause a satiated effect, so you're less likely to have or give in to your food cravings.
THE MYTH: Starches are Fattening. THE TRUTH: False and Unsafe.
For one thing, it's difficult to completely avoid starches, since they're a major component of staples like bread, pasta, grains, fruits, potatoes, corn, and rice. Even if it were possible to cut out all starches, if you did so you'd be starving your body of the fuel it unconditionally needs in order to maintain proper body-system function. Food consists of only three basic substances or macro-nutrients: proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. Starches are carbohydrates; and carbohydrates, along with their metabolic products and core nutrients are your body's basic fuel.
Most of the fuel your body uses comes from a carbohydrate identified as glucose. Some glucose you might consume in the form of candy or sodas; some carbohydrates in substances like alcohol, quickly break down into glucose. Glucose is absorbed by your cells and used to run your bodily processes; any excess is stored in your liver or converted into fat, where it can be called upon at need.
If your body lacks glucose, it'll eventually start using any fuel source it can find. At first these might be fat cells, but as they shrink, your body may begin attacking the protein reserves in your muscles for the fuel it needs, referred to as catabolisys.
This is a "last-resort" move generally saved for famine conditions, so if it happens to you, it's bad news. The truth is that your metabolism by virtue of your circadian rhythm is better able to digest, to process and to assimilate certain food sources at certain times of the day... Translation: Some foods are more efficiently assimilated at set points of the day because of the composition or complexity of the source and as our metabolism rises and diminishes throughout the day. More complex foods such as starchy carbohydrates become increasingly more difficult to fully take through the digestive process, without a 'diminished returns' effect occurring and fat storage beginning.
THE MYTH: Vegetarian or Vegan diets are healthier than omnivorous diets. THE TRUTH: Not...
A diet (merely a regime of frequent consumption) consisting entirely of rice and french-fries, or of bananas and cheerios, can be considered vegetarian, but neither diet is healthy in the long run. If you're careful, you can get by just fine on a properly balanced vegan or vegetarian diet, but you'll have to manage your in-take very carefully. Vegetarian diets do tend to be high in fiber and low in fat, but the fact is that humans evolved as opportunistic omnivores.
That is, our ancestors ate anything they could get their hands on: greens, tubers, bugs, and the occasional smidgen of meat and this dictated how our bodies today, still require nutrients for efficacy and fuel for performance, that's what we do... Perform! Preferably Efficiently! Poor Physical Performance is what we simply call... SICK!!! Emotionally, Physically, Spiritually...what-have-you!
The human body developed and evolved to expect a diverse and varied diet, one that could provide all the nutrients it necessitates in a variety of forms. Meat was an important part of their diet, perhaps the most important part because it was so uncommon. Vegetarians must always be sure that they eat enough protein; protein is easily available in meat, so few omnivores have to worry about getting enough, but it's scarce in most plant foods.
Fortunately, nuts, beans, and a few other vegetable products are ready sources of protein. If you go vegetarian, you'll also need to be sure you get daily doses of Vitamin B12 and Zinc, supplements often missing in vegetarian diets. Most people can continue to exist as vegetarians if they're extremely careful, but it's a continuous mêlée, and guess what? You can be just as healthy and out-of-shape on a vegetarian diet as you can on a regular diet, especially if you don't exercise regularly.
THE MYTH: Sweating facilitates weight loss. THE TRUTH: Absolutely... If the sweat is exercise induced!
Otherwise, all you're doing is losing water weight. Sweating is astonishingly effective at doing what it was meant to do: cooling the body by glazing the skin with evaporative fluids. It was never meant to act as a weight loss system. Lose enough water, and you're toying with dehydration. Dehydration or progressive dehydration can occur if you fail to rehydrate yourself sufficiently after every workout. If you get sufficiently dehydrated, your electrolyte balance will get out of whack, your cells will be starved of the fluids they need, and you could die. Not a happy prospect, so avoid it.
For this reason, the old sweatbox and sauna are of no use for losing real weight. Neither are their modern "high-tech" equivalents, such as body wraps and plastic sweat suits, no matter how many people swear by them. All they do is dehydrate you. Yes, you lose weight: two pounds per quart sweated away. But that's weight, not fat. And the moment you drink enough water, you'll gain all that weight back. Like I have said... "Weight Loss is a LIE!"
THE MYTH: Fat Free is... Calorie Free! THE TRUTH: YEAH... RIGHT!!!
All "fat-free" means is that a particular food has no detectable fat content. Sadly, however, is that fat and its related compounds that give most foods their flavor. Ice cream, butter, cheese, and a whole host of non-dairy products, including chocolate, are little more than specially prepared, congealed fat. When manufacturers design many fat-free products, such as bread, cookies, ice cream, and the like, they know these products will be mostly dry and flavorless without fat.
Some fat substitutes are available, but they can cause gastrointestinal upset, and most are expensive. This leaves one common ingredient that manufacturers can use to make their products taste better: sugar. And they use it liberally; so many fat-free products are high in calories. Furthermore, plenty of foods like breads and pasta are low in fat, but rich in carbohydrates and we already know what that means. Carbohydrates break down easily into our friend glucose, which can result in increased fat when consumed in excess. You always have to consider calorie and portion size; you're fooling yourself if you do otherwise. Moderation is the key to dieting success... Any ...long-term success for that matter.
The Myth: You Either Diet Or Exercise, You Can't Do Both Simultaneously! The Truth: Don't Get Me Started!!!
Yes...you can do both together and you should, it is referred to as Synergy; the coordination of two effective components working concurrently to derive a greater benefit than if isolated. The dieting myths and misconceptions explored in this article represent just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. There are thousands of them out there: some are ridiculous and barely worthy of notice-like the suggestion that eating standing up helps you lose weight, or that you can base a diet on your blood type or color of hair-while others are less obvious, like those discussed here.
Dieting isn't easy and, while it's human nature to look for a simple solution to a problem, that strategy just won't work in this case. So heed these hints, and take it easy. Don't skip meals, keep your diet properly balanced, and exercise regularly. Avoid all fads, pills, and extravagant claims, because if it sounds too good to be true...well, you know the rest. It doesn't take more than losing a few pounds before you'll notice a difference in the way you look and feel. And, if you lose only a few pounds at first, even if you've been at it for a while, so what? Pick up a five or ten pound bag of flour and carry it around for a day, and you'll see how quickly you'll get tired of lugging that excess weight around.
Application of sound methodology is always the most effective means to achieve any objective, with that said, if you want to truly shed those extra kilos of fat, then do yourself a favor and draw up a plan, combine all the necessary elements of success and execute that plan...
Kurt Lee Hurley's clients refer to him as the "Secret Weapon" and after over 3,000 weight loss successes, his Provo, Utah Wellness Facility has become known as a "Results Factory" a "Living Laboratory" of Achievement, Enhanced Human Performance and a place to congregate for Empowerment and of course, the Success of attaining Weight Loss RESULTS!
The act of taking the first step is what separates the winners from the losers.
Objectives and goal setting and a desire or an intention to meet said goals and objectives is, undoubtedly the most imperative piece of the puzzle when attempting to achieve anything worthwhile in life. And as Brian Tracy has outlined here, it is indeed the act of taking the first step and then following through that will separate the winners from the losers. Clearly defining what it is that you want is where it all starts and Weight Loss is no different! The potency of your objectives and the power of your intention will totally aid in the clarity and sharpness of outlining your goals. So if you truly want to achieve permanent Weight Loss, you must completely see yourself 'lean' or 'lighter' with absolute lucidity! It can happen to you. You've heard it before; life is a journey, not a destination...
Enjoy the trip, but know where you're going, it's easier to get there! Brushing your teeth, washing your hair, 'showing up' at work regularly and sleeping are all habitual rituals, they are daily practices that promote or provide either assurance, insurance, functionality or the opportunity to continue to have or use something that you probably want to keep... Stop doing these rituals and decay, breakdown or unemployment occurs, which just causes a downward spiral of unpleasant events.
Although this sounds a bit funny, the reality is your body functions or DIS-functions in the same way, practice daily effective, proactive rituals and ta...da... you either attain, maintain or achieve the object or objective desired. Exercise and nutrition are often perplexing topics, usually shrouded in mystery, but need not be. Knowledge and application of knowledge are not the same thing; they are quite separate and distinct. Knowing how to do something and doing it is where the line is drawn and having an intention, coupled with an objective acts as the proverbial driver behind the wheel...and placing intention into the subconscious mind is like stepping on the gas pedal, which in turn produces action or OBJECTIVE.
Can you remember when you were young and wanted something so bad that nothing else mattered? That thing that drove you was desire and if you actually did get that 'object' of desire, well that was intention that propelled you to go out and get or "receive" that object. Goals or objectives motivate and generate oomph, you know...that get-up-and-go, they are the steam that wakes you up, gets you to work, helps you focus and aids in the process of achievement. Emotion married to objective is fuel for accomplishment. Develop a sense of purpose, a reason why and combine that purpose with your desire and your emotionally stimulated intention, put this desire, intention and purpose in writing and since we're talking about Weight Loss, this could be that desire.
With laser-focused accuracy, picture a 'clear-vision' of how you see yourself in 'fighting' condition, we call this "visualizing" and remain focused using all of these components and guess what... It will happen... Yes, time patience, persistence, effort and action are required, but you will reap what you sow, it is an unfailing fact. Positive reinforcement, now this is the next phase... Any suggestion that you plant into your subconscious mind is used, if it's negative.... Negative results, if it's positive... Positive results! If you know what to do, but you can't seem to get yourself to do it, you've probably been giving negative or conflicting messages to your subconscious mind.
The behaviors that are produced by subconscious conditioning are more commonly referred to as habits. Fortunately, you can re-program your subconscious mind with positive instructions and become a creature of positive habit, just as easily as you can become a victim of negative habits. It all begins with a conscious decision and written objectives.
Attention to intention
The mind... It's a terrible thing...to waste that is! I am always stunned at the similarities that we all share and on the flip-side, stunned at how different we are. So simple, yet so complex...and when it comes to the exercising of our mental capacities, well this is where some have signs of mastery and others, as if a sleeping giant lies dormant! I have worked with thousands of people through the years and what is remarkable is in all the training and nutrition programs I've designed for such unique purposes, almost all of them fall into similar distinctive mind-sets, either they possess the desire and intent to accomplish something great; or they feel that they are losing something that they want badly enough to keep!
The sine qua non or upshot is, if you want to get in amazing shape, all you really have to do is make up your mind and "intend" to accomplish your objective. You build that body of your desire by setting goals and focusing your attention on them. Setting into motion this attentive intent is the positive action required to impel you on-ward and up-ward. Exercise and eating right are only two components in the matrix of this program and in all honesty, if you don't properly tune that focus 'in', the best of programs or intentions will not eliminate the natural tendency to 'bail-out' before success has arrived. Self defeat is the 'killer-of-giants', where success is concerned.
The whole concept of setting goals and having objectives to aspire to works because it activates the mechanism of the all-powerful subconscious mind, which in-turn activates the application of intention, which as you might of guessed... produces results. Success The theme here is to take control of your own mind; success will be found when you become proactive about your 'destination' and take the proper steps required to 'arrive'. It is truly about the tremendous power of self-control and self-reliance. These are inner resources, which you already possess, which you have always possessed. You may not have realized that you have these abilities, but they are there, as latent as they may be...they are there!
You may not have used them or you may have underemployed them, it's not uncommon. Change can happen, but first you must decide that change is what you indeed want and move with reckless abandon toward that change. With all the necessary tools and the proper mindset in place and in proper form you can achieve anything and I mean anything! So, get ready to succeed and to live a life of true conviction and purpose. The Scottish essayist Thomas Carlyle wrote, "Have a purpose in life, and throw yourself into your work with all the strength of mind and muscle as God has given." Beautiful! And until next time, Good luck and may God be with you...
Kurt Lee Hurley's clients proudly refer to him as the "Secret Weapon", when asked about their Weight Loss and Fitness success. After over 3,000 personal success stories, his Provo Utah facility has become a literal "Results Factory", a "Living Laboratory" for success stories.
Weight Loss - Why An Exercise Plan is the Trick
Many people look for quick fixes to their weight problems - patches, pills, miracle diets, and the like. They expect to have a fast, rapid result, and in the end are disappointed when the pounds come back after a few weeks. These diets aren't all bad, but they aren't everything either - you have to combine any diet or product with exercise.
People always seem to want something for nothing these days, and weight loss is no exception. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of good products on the market, and you should always be looking for the latest advances. However, it's a known fact that if you want to get healthier and keep the weight off, you're going to have to exercise. I know, it's the word everyone hates. But it's not that hard if you put your mind to it to find ways to exercise without spending hours in the gym.
You don't have to spend three hours a day working out to make a difference in your health. You can lose weight just by finding little things that you can do in your day to day life that don't take that much more time - take the stairs instead of the elevator. Plan out periods during the day that you will have a little extra time to exercise in - things like walking out to go get lunch, parking your car a few rows further away than the closest spot, or even fidgeting at your desk will burn calories.
Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #18
I listened to a spiritual program today that had a very powerful message. In fact, my exhusband knew I liked these programs, which had gone off the air last year, and he taped them and gave them to me as a Christmas present. It was the best gift!
Blood levels of endorphins increase up to five times resting levels during longer duration (greater than 30 minutes) aerobic exercise at moderate to intense levels and also during interval training. Also, after several months of regular exercise, you develop an increased sensitivity to endorphins (a higher high from the same level of endorphins), and endorphins that are produced tend to stay in your blood for a longer period of time. This makes longer duration exercise easier (you're feeling no pain) and it causes your exercise high to last for a longer period of time after exercise.
When we're living from our ego (edging God out), we know we're not enough and everything keeps showing up for us to support this statement. When we're connected to God, we know we are enough and everything shows up for us to support this statement. Pretty awesome message, isn't it? Which one do you choose?
You are already whole and complete just as God created you. However, we give energy to believing quite the opposite and we wonder why we keep creating struggle....not enough love, not enough health, not enough money. The perception of "lack" of money is a very strong energy and I hear it from most of my clients. God is always your supply and He intends that you have abundance. It is your ego that says something different. Think about this next statement. Pay every bill as if God wrote it. When you pay your bills, think about it from this standpoint and pay them lovingly. Give positive energy to them and see what happens as a result.
You're fueling your weight with less than thoughts and it's time to change it. Money is energy and if you're always thinking "I don't have enough" then that's what the Universe is giving you. Do you want to keep living in this way of thinking or are you tried of this struggle? Focus on "I am a money magnet" and say it over and over again. Put it on a sticky note or 3 x 5 card and place it everywhere so you can see it and keep affirming this message.
God smiles when His child lives a life in expansiveness and possibility. Please Him and watch the miracles unfold. Give Him your burdens underneath your weight. Remember you are already whole and complete. Believe it, see it, know it.
You are a sparkly child of God....and you sizzle too! Sparkly and Sizzling--what a powerful combination that only leads to expansiveness and possibility.
