On September 9, legendary jazz musician Herb Alpert will re-release 24 classic albums from his illustrious catalog. The albums were remastered from the original analog tape mixes by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Bernie Grundman, who was the mastering engineer on many of the Tijuana Brass and Alpert albums. All releases, several of which have been out of print for a number of years (in Europe, some have not been available in over 30 years!), will be presented with their original artwork, making this collection must-have for the Herb Alpert fan!

    The Brass Flies High!!! The fifth album by the Tijuana Brass, released in 1965, and one of the more stellar and fun albums in their repertoire. Herb Alpert was on fire making this album, gathering some standards as well as some original songs from some of his friends. This is one of the more diversified albums as well.     Herb Alpert is the master, but they coulda done better I was in the mood to replace an album I sold long ago, and decided to purchase this. The first copy I received was warped, but Amazon replaced it super fast. You gotta love their customer service. The 2nd copy is in great shape and sounds good. The listing says it includes a free download card, which is accurate, but what they dont tell you is that the download card seems to have expired. The web site it refers to no longer exists ( you get a 404 error, telling you the page no longer…
