We now know that there are cures for many of the diseases that are considered to be non-curable. If you go to Europe or Asia – you will find many of these diseases being cured. We in the US are so pre-occupied with profit that we prefer treatment to cure. It brings in more money on a consistent basis. But, in spite of all that there are those that dare to challenge the establishment and offer to those who need it the cure for so many diseases.

Although it is commonly believed that hookworms penetrate the skin when walking barefoot on earth, this appears to be a negligible route.


All persons I have seen with clinical depression had small roundworms in the brain. Is it any wonder that the brain can't make enough neurotransmitters or gets them out of balance?

The usual worms are hookworms (Anclystoma), Ascaris of cats and dogs, Trichinellas and Strongyloides.


If you clean up a messy diaper and then your hands well with soap, then go to make the chopped salad for dinner, you're sure to give each family member a dose of whatever the baby has. It was hiding under your fingernails. Animals clean up the easy way: they simply lick the youngster's bottom. But, we humans are not strong enough to take on a dose of bottom with each meal. We must sanitize our hands.


Cleaning bathrooms is also dangerous. Wear gloves. If nobody suffers from depression, you can use bleach (stored in the garage) to disinfect the stool, otherwise use alcohol (50% grain alcohol). Keep doorknobs and faucet handles wiped with alcohol, too.


If you suffer from depression use your zapper to immediately kill these four roundworm species: Ancylostoma, Ascaris, Trichinella and Strongyloides. Other family members should be cleared of these four worms on the same day or as close to it as possible. Re-infection always occurs. In the depressed person, the microscopic parasites travel immediately to the brain. In others, they may simply reside in the intestine or lungs or liver, or other organs. Pathways (routes) to the brain have become established for the depressed person. These must heal before there is any tolerance for re-infection.


Solvents and other toxins, also in the brain, slow down or prevent healing. For this reason the depressed person should do the Four Clean-ups.


The bacteria of the Shigella family are always seen in depression cases. Kill all Shigellas and avoid re-infection by boiling dairy products and not eating those that can't be boiled. Go on the Bowel Program. Do not eat deli food or hand prepared salads at salad bars. Finally, do the Liver Cleanse, repeating every two weeks. Depression, even of long standing, can lift within days after the brain finally has its territory to itself. Look in the mirror and smile at yourself for your success in vanquishing your invaders. Never again, let these creepy crawlers into the happiness-center of your brain.

Protecting the Brain: Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Lyme, MS, ALS, Autism, and Depression


In the case of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, MS, ALS, autism, Alzheimer’s, lupus, and Lyme Disease, inflammatory proteins called cytokines cross into the brain. They do so through weakened areas of the blood brain barrier (BBB). In the brain, they cause “brain fog,” sleep disturbances, and increased pain, depression, and anxiety. Certain cytokines can deplete the brain of tryptophan, which is necessary in the production of serotonin.


The decrease in serotonin and increase of Substance P may result in low Growth Hormone (HGH) production, which is characteristic of Fibromyalgia.


Low serotonin levels can result in non-restorative sleep, depression, increased stress, increased appetite, increased pain perception because of an increase in Substance P, and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).


This tryptophan deficiency is especially detrimental in those who suffer from depression, anxiety, Chronic Lyme, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia sufferers, who already struggle with low serotonin levels.


It is important to strengthen the Blood Brain Barrier (BBB) against cytokine invasion. Cytokines will only cross the BBB in an area that it is weakened. Low levels of vitamin B, a deficiency of certain essential fatty acids, and a viral infection, like a cold or flu can weaken the blood brain barrier. A study published in June 2002, in the scientific journal Differentiation, reported new evidence that mobile phone radiation can also weaken the BBB against harmful substances. (Cordless phones pose the same risk, but to a lesser degree.)


Diet and dietary supplements can strengthen the brain’s protective barrier (BBB) against cytokine invasion. Because vitamin C can strengthen capillaries and the blood brain barrier is made up of capillaries, it is reasonable to believe that vitamin C could provide the BBB with added protection. Additionally, animal studies show that flavonoids, like those found in blueberries, bilberries, and grape seeds can protect the blood brain barrier. These flavanoids can be purchased in supplement form. They are also anti-inflammatory, so they protect the brain by reducing cytokine levels and strengthening the BBB.

Feelings About Diabetes - Depression and Denial


This is the second installment on the article "Feelings About Diabetes". Even though they can be read separately, it is recommended to read the previous installment first before read this one.


People can also tend to feel depressed when learning that they now have diabetes. Anybody can have days when they feel gloomy. A severe depression can be taking place when a person feels bad and miserable for more than fourteen days. Being depressed can come from a physical rather than a psychological source, so it is important to check with a doctor first. Some telltale signs of being depressed is thinking you're too much responsibility to your friends and loved ones or feeling that you are inadequate. A person can feel like harming themselves and that life is not worth living. People that are depressed sometimes come to tears at a drop of a hat.

A person may be experiencing depression when they have sleeping problems.

Waking up prematurely and once awake it's the worse time of the day because you feel so blue and poorly in the morning more than any other time of the day. When a person does try to sleep, they keep getting up through the night or the opposite, they sleep too much. There's no desire or contentment in things a person once loved to do. A person can't stay put because they are so jumpy and edgy or the opposite, you feel wiped out and have no strength.


A change in eating habits can be a telltale sign of depression. For example a person that was usually labeled as having a big appetite now eats like a bird and has lost a lot of weight. The opposite is also a telltale sign of depression e.g. a person that used to have a small appetite now eats like a horse and has gained a lot of weight.


A person can have come to a point where they want to deny the disease when they first learn they have it. They needs to find information on how to be and stay in good physical shape and you can't find that out being in a denial state. Someone is probably in a denial state about being a diabetic when they don't take the time to exercise, when they only take part of their medication, when they don't check in with a health professional, when they don't watch what they eat or when they don't take care of injuries properly.


A person should fight to restrict it rather than deny having diabetes. Develop a diabetic strategy, with the help of a health professional, on how to keep diabetes under control. Set aims that are reachable as well as good for you and always remember patience is the key. Don't be afraid to ask loved ones and friends to help you out. More times than not, when a family member is diagnosed with a health condition and has to change their eating habits, the whole family's eating habits are changed as well with little or no resistance at all.

Dealing with Depression

Depression, also clinically known as major depressive disorder, affects millions of people around the world but most do not understand that depression is a very real disease. People that have never suffered with depression understand very little about this disease and feel that a person with it should ‘get on with their life and get over the depression’.


They believe that depression sufferers can get rid of their depression by using their willpower. People that are close to, or live with those with depression, are often frustrated and annoyed by this and “snap out of it” hear this far too often.


Most people, uneducated when it comes to depression, have no idea that they have all the signs and are themselves depressed and reaching severe levels. Understanding about depression will make you appreciate what a person goes through who suffers from it.


What is Depression?

Along with other elements, it is an imbalance of the brain chemicals, medically speaking. Primarily treated with medication, major depressive disorder is recognized by the medical community as a disease. Some doctors treat their patients with medication and therapy and for some patients; psychotherapy along with medication is very helpful. Many people fight depression their entire lives and need monitoring to minimize or eliminate reoccurrences of this debilitating disease. Avoiding stressful situations and strictly following the doctor’s instructions is paramount.


Symptoms of Depression

The most common symptom of depression is sadness and low mood levels. Others that some people suffer from are:


- Irritability
- Physical reactions become slow
- Not enjoying activities or interests that you liked before
- Reasoning is slower
- Looking on the dark side or expecting the worse – pessimism
- Sex life decreases or lack of interest
- Anger or rages


Mild depression may not cause many problems in some peoples lives and be an annoyance more than anything else. This could turn into severe depression and people suffering from this can become completely debilitated by the disease. With moderate to severe depression, there is more chance of suicide. Depression can strike any age group from young to the elderly. If a teenager that liked school and did well suddenly lacks interest, withdraws from family and friends and has mood swings, he/she could be displaying signs of depression.


Types of Depression
Some subtypes of depression are:


Mono-polar Depression – There are symptoms of depression. Dysthymic disorder is men and a woman with a mild case of mono-polar disorder that does not touch their social activities or work abilities.

Bipolar disorder or Manic Depressive Disease – The manic phase causes a person to sleep and concentrate poorly. The depressive phase cause abnormal elevated moods and impractical optimism.
Physical Symptom Depression – Can cause urination difficulties, digestive problems among other things.

Herbs For Anxiety And Depression - A Safer Choice?


Many of us, perhaps most, will admit to feeling anxious on a regular basis and often even depressed, perhaps due to pressures of work, home life, or any of a multitude of other causes. However most of us are not clinically depressed or anxious, to the point where our lives and health are affected detrimentally.


The minority who do find their lives blighted by these conditions can often be found to be suffering from one or all of the following: self harm and potentially suicidal thoughts, insomnia, lack of sex drive, inactivity and tiredness, and lack of concentration.


Certainly where someone is feeling so anxious or depressed that the medical profession would categorize them as clinically depressed or anxious immediate help should be sought from a professional. However where someone is suffering from a milder form of anxiety then there may be alternatives to the common anti-depressant drugs that often appear to make things worse for less serious cases. Alternative treatments could include herbs for anxiety and depression, although it is always wise to seek medical help before starting any herbal medications, especially if you are already taking any other forms of medication.


Popular herbs for anxiety and depression include St. Johns Wort, Kava, Passion Flower, Ginseng and SAM-e, and many have reported positive benefits to taking these herbs. St. Johns Wort probably has the largest body of supporting evidence and is widely used. Again remember that you should consult your physician before taking any medication, even herbal, and do not take multiple herbal remedies at the same time without consultation with a professional.


There exists a significant problem in taking herbs for anxiety and depression, and other ailments, and that is that unlike other medications government and international drug regulation agencies are not required to test and approve their use. This can mean that drugs could become available that have unforeseen side effects. However many herbs have been used in medical applications for much longer than their modern chemical counterparts and so there exists a large body of admittedly anecdotal evidence backing their medicinal properties.


The critical point to remember is that there are no guarantees with herbal treatments, and care must be taken to ensure you are not exposing yourself to additional problems and side effects. There is little doubt a herbal substitute for a conventional drug, used in moderation, should provide some relief with less of the addictive dangers associated with prescription meds, but it cannot always be assumed that herbs will be a safer option. Do not assume they are a miracle cure and always take heed of the dosage recommendations.

Postpartum Depression

Postpartum depression is a condition that is primarily seen in women who have just given birth. While it may also be present in men, it is not as extensive. This disorder is considered to be a type of major depression, and there are a number of ways it can be treated. Postpartum depression is experienced by over 70% of women who have recently given birth. The symptoms for this condition may last for hours or days, and patients will be irritable, unable to concentrate, and may also experience a loss of sleep or headaches.


The important routes are eating animal filth and inhaling filthy dust. Our pets pick these worms up daily. We get them and give them in constant exchange with our pets and family members. Diapering babies is an especially hazardous, though necessary, business. Letting little children clean up after their own bowel movements is even more hazardous. Hands should be sanitized with grain alcohol after dealing with bowel contents, whether your own, your child's or an animal's.


The diagnosis for postpartum depression is similar to other forms of major depression. However, the difference between PPD and other forms of depression is that those who are suffering from PPD will typically begin having symptoms a month after they have given birth. In addition to this, the condition may also develop during the pregnancy as well. Many of the causes of PPD are not well understood. However, there are a few factors that are believed to cause the disorder. One cause is the prenatal depression that may be experienced during pregnancy. A woman who has a low self esteem is also at a higher risk for developing PPD.


Women who are not receiving social support, or who are in a bad relationship with their spouse will also have higher chances of developing PPD. In addition to this, women who have previously suffered from depression are also likely to develop postpartum depression after they have given birth. Many women who given birth do not have the support of the father, and this person may not be present. In situations like this, the development of PPD is likely. Some studies also indicate that hormone changes in the body of a woman who has just given birth may cause PPD, but there are currently no concrete facts to support this.


When a child is born, both parents will be responsible for altering their lifestyle in a way that will benefit the child. In a situation like this, some believe that the radical changes that may need to be made to support the infant may play a role in the development of PPD, but there have been now studies which have found that this theory is accurate. While it is rare, some women can develop extreme forms of PPD, and this can lead to delusions or other severe mental health problems. It should be noted that only about 0.1% of women experience this, and most women only have moderate forms of the disorder. However, a women who has a mental illness before you gives birth is very likely to develop an extreme form of this condition.


Studies which have been conducted on animals indicate that a parent will not invest in the well being of their young when costs involved are higher than the benefits. Some animals have even been observed killing or abandoning their offspring. Because human babies require so much care, a mother who is forced to care for the child on her own may not have the necessary tools to care for the child, and may risk harming herself. Many of these women may begin to have negative fews of their children, and may not be responsive to the needs of the child.
