The Scary Facts About Low Cholesterol

These risks shouldn't be taken lightly as high levels of LDL cholesterol greatly increase the risk of stroke, atherosclerosis, and coronary heart disease. 1. Eat your colors. Even if your LDL is a little on the high side, there's at least one way to defuse its danger. Concentrations of alpha-linolenic acid are high in almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, flaxseeds, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, peanuts, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, and walnuts.
